I’ve always loved oversized sweaters because they’re so comfy and cozy, perfect for fall and winter. My newest obsession, though, is the oversized coat.
Oversized coats are a bold statement, but it’s super simple to incorporate it into your regular wardrobe. Now there’s nothing wrong with an elegant, form-fitting coat, but the oversized coat is just a little bit of a different look, especially when it’s a bright color like this wondrous mustard yellow color.
This particular coat is Bagatelle, a little gem I picked up at TJMaxx (one of my favorite places). The color of it is what initially drew me to it, but when I tried it on, I was pleasantly surprised by the cut of it. I love the fact that you can dress it down for a more casual look, or dress it up for a night look.
Here’s how I styled my looks, but feel free to take your style liberties!
Distressed cuffed jeans (Hudson), black tank (Mossimo) and black/white striped mock tee, cozy knit scarf (hand-knit by me; the secret is to use really thick yarn and knitting needles!), white sneakers (Tommy Hilfiger), leather band watch (Fossil), mirrored sunnies (Le Spec), and of course a cup of coffee in hand (iced coffee today, even with the chilly weather).
Black leather skirt (forever 21 (yes, I still shop there…)), satin cami (Violet + Claire), blingy jewelry, black pumps (Jessica Simpson), dark lipstick (Mac satin media A65)
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, whether you’re celebrating with family, friends, that special someone, or your pets. Eat a ton, laugh hysterically, give a whole lot of thanks, and look good doing it!
